Jessie Reid

Jessie Reid’s folk-influenced, percussive fingerstyle guitar playing has drawn comparisons with the likes of Ben Howard, Newton Faulkner, Lucy Rose and Nick Mulvey. Her latest singles have amassed over five million streams with support from Spotify editorial curators and over the past year she has been featured by BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson and Chris Hawkins, BBC Wales’s Janice Long. Recently, Jessie received the 2021 ‘Artist of the Year’ award from BBC Introducing in Shropshire and has been named ‘Artist to Watch in 2022’ by Atwood Magazine. She was long listed for the Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition in 2019 and has travelled as far as New York and Brazil in the promotion of her debut singles. 

Jessie has provided main tour support for Night Flight, Sam Brookes and Dan Owen on their UK tours and has enjoyed supporting artists such as Seafret, Brooke Bentham, Bryde and Ciaran Lavery over the past few years. With her unique percussive style of ‘laptap’ guitar playing, Jessie has become a firm Sofar Sounds favourite and has over 30 Sofar shows under her belt across three continents. She has had an exciting Summer playing at a number of UK festivals including Black Deer Festival, Moseley Folk Festival and Green Gathering. Jessie has appeared at 110 Above Festival, Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Camper Calling and Timber Festival in previous years. 

Jessie is currently working hard on writing her next EP which will be set for release in 2023. She plans to embark on her first headline UK tour in mid-2023 to coincide with the EP release.
